Judi Allen-Ankins

Music Education (Hons)

Statement of Support

"I am excited about the vision for Australia’s first Christian University and believe this opens doors for Jesus to be taken into the professional world."

Professional Biography

Judi Allen-Ankins is a performing arts teacher who completed a degree in Music Education (Hons) from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.

She began her career teaching in both primary and secondary education within the state system. After years of classroom experience, and just as many years as a full-time mum, Judi is now Assistant Head of Creative and Performing Arts at Nambour Christian College (NCC). Her love for all things drama, music and theatre, as well as a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people, has enabled her to work in her ideal job - teaching the Arts to secondary students within a Christian environment. Judi’s teaching philosophy within the Arts allows students to creatively discover the world around them while realising their own worth as a purposefully created individual. She has directed and co-directed several full-scale musical productions, usually with a cast of around 200 students, and also accompanies the male vocal group and senior choir at NCC.

Judi and her husband Peter enjoy living on the Sunshine Coast. Together they have three beautiful daughters each pursuing their own career paths, and each actively following the Lord.
