Professional Biography
Hila Yusupov was born and grew up in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (former USSR). She graduated from a special music school named after Uspensky in 1986, and was accepted to the Tashkent State Conservatory to Classical Piano Faculty. After receiving her Bachelor of Music and Education with Honours in 1992, Hila remained at the Conservatory to complete her Master Degree in Chamber Music with Professor Nikolay Bukin, and served as a repetiteur for Voice and String Faculties and Professor's Assistant in Chamber Ensemble Music.
In 2005, Hila migrated to Australia, and was employed by Australian Institute of Music (Sydney) as a piano teacher, accompanist and chamber music fellow. Since 2005, Hila has been playing at many occasions with different soloists and ensembles. The highlights of her performances include recitals with New Cologne International Philharmonic Orchestra in Sydney Opera House, with Wesley International Chamber Orchestra in St John’s Cathedral, Brisbane and tours with various Chamber Groups and soloists in Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide. She has just obtained her PhD in Music Performance at University of Queensland. Hila is employed by Mueller college as a Senior Music teacher, and holds a part-time position of a District Review Panel Chair for Music with QCAA.
