BSc, BMin, BTheo

Statement of Support

"A complete educational experience equips future leaders in how to think—not just what to think—and how to communicate graciously and with integrity.

A first-class Christian university in Australia will enable students in every profession to develop a holistic biblical worldview, equipped with both academic rigour and spiritual maturity for the good of the Church and society. An educational institution that places a high priority on developing the whole person is surely needed.

I whole-heartedly and enthusiastically endorse this vision."

Professional Biography

Samuel developed an early interest in understanding the relationship of science and faith. This led him on a thoroughly enjoyable journey to study biological and earth sciences from an evolutionary perspective at an Australian university. He was fascinated by how a person’s worldview shapes how they interpret evidence—especially as it relates to the historical sciences— and even controls which explanations are acceptable. As an undergraduate he was privileged to co-author a paper on palm fossils that was later published.

He then pursued biblical studies, ending up with a first-class honours degree from a New Zealand university. He now works as a biblical researcher, writer, editor and curriculum developer for a video series called Long Story Short, explaining the Bible’s story from the beginning in Genesis through to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.
